Community Shop

A Fresh Start for a Community Hub

Nith Valley Leaf Trust purchased the empty property on the Closeburn main street which was previously

operated as the village shop and post office in autumn 2023 and let the adjoining house out in early 2024

as an affordable rented family home. We want to turn the shop into a community hub, shop and café.

Building work has now started and further Closeburn Community progress reports will be given on the

Our current floor plan provides place for a shop and cafe for the village. This may be subject to minor changes as building work progresses but is what we're working towards.
